Dunderberg Peak, July 28, 2015

After getting rained/sleeted/hailed on the last two times we skied Dunderberg on July 21st and July 7th, we thought about trying to ski there on a sunny day for a change. We could see how the snow was holding up and ski a couple of different patches.

On the approach we passed Jack’s “Glacier.” Here are Jack’s “Glacier” remnants with Dunderberg Peak in the background:

We continued on the approach to our first destination, Hidden “Glacier”:

(The snow usually goes from above the upper patch all the way down to the pond at the bottom of the bowl.)

Since the snow was so smooth, we decided to take some more laps.

After five laps we took a short lunch break and headed over to the Heart Patch.
