Round Top/Sisters, 4th of July Trail Patch, July 8, 2012

I took a semi-solo patchskiing trip on Sunday, July 8th. While I was the only skier on the trail, I must have seen close to 50 hikers during the day. I was met with a combination of baffled expressions and smiles that led to some interesting conversations. Other than one picture taken by a hiker I passed on my way out all of the photos, video, and gifs involved some solo camera work experimentation.

First a panorama of Sisters which I passed on my way:

Next, some self-timer work:

Looking back up past the Lhasas on my pack at some corn-8 graffiti:

WARNING: This is a Go-Bro Duct Tape Video POV. If you were able to watch the second and third Bourne movies you might be able to handle this video. (I actually duct taped my camera to my shirt.)

After my fourth run I found a ladybug on my boot…

…I gently lifted it off…

…before it flew away and I went on to a couple of laps on The “October Patch.”
