|On the first day of May, actually evening since it was a dusk patrol, Makisha and Penny joined me to start my 175th consecutive month skiing.

The snow was like a refrigerated stale cake with whippy frosting.

It took about half an hour to bootpack up the north facing ridge of Leviathan Peak.
