|We skied the flat and shallow on the overflow lot road above Red Lake. Thanks go out to Mike for doing a recon ski mission the previous day to let us know where to find skiable snow.
I was definitely happy to be skiing again:
Stev gets ready to “thread the needle” between two small boulders:
John continues down after “threading the needle” between the small boulders…
…then skis the off-piste next to the relatively icy groomed by tires…
…nearing the bottom of our first run…
John is happy to ski 60 consecutive months…
…and he heads back up for another run…
…first he has to “thread the needle”
Stev hikes up for another run:
Stev blazing past a shear rock face:
John stays on skier’s right where the snow is relatively deeper…
…then blazes past the rock face…
The snow wasn’t deep, but it was fresh and fun to ski.
