Ebbetts Pass, May 17, 2014

Before heading up to ski around Ebbetts Pass we looked at Folger Peak:

I’ve skied here in the past and plan to ski here again in the near future. (A rather large snowdrift blocked the road to Folger Peak.)

I would start a traverse around to skier’s right of Ebbetts Peak above Kinney Reservoir. This involved about half an hour of scree surfing. I should have instead gone to skier’s left and much more quickly and easily gone down a line near where Makisha was looking at earlier. I’ll know better for next time.

The Ebbetts Pass area offers many different pitches and exposures.
Being able to do partial car shuttles makes the area even more enticing.
This is definitely on my to-do again and again list.
