Round Top/Sisters, October Patch, September 1, 2013

First, there was a recon mission the previous day, August 31st, to make sure that skiable snow would be available.

The blue arrow points to the “October Patch” – this was taken from the shoreline of Caples Lake.

The next day coastal fog moved pretty far inland and/or smoke from the Rim Fire drifted north.
